These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of SMS messaging services provided by MaineAI Receptionist ("MaineAI," "we," "us," or "our"). By interacting with our SMS service — including receiving and replying to messages after calling a business that uses our platform — you agree to these Terms.
MaineAI Receptionist provides AI-powered missed-call text-back services on behalf of local businesses. When you call a business using our service and your call is not answered, you may receive automated SMS messages to assist you with your inquiry, qualify your needs, and help schedule appointments.
By calling a business that uses our service, you will hear a voicemail greeting informing you that a text message follow-up will be sent. By remaining on the line and hanging up after hearing this disclosure, you consent to receive SMS messages related to your inquiry. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
You may opt out of receiving messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. You may also use: QUIT, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or OPT-OUT. Upon receiving your opt-out request, we will immediately stop sending messages to your number and send a single confirmation message. To resume messages, you may text START.
Message frequency varies based on your conversation. Typically, you will receive 1-5 messages per interaction. We do not send recurring marketing messages. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. MaineAI is not responsible for any charges from your carrier.
Messages sent through our service are generated by artificial intelligence on behalf of the business you called. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated responses may not always be perfect. Appointment confirmations and service details should be verified directly with the business. AI-generated messages do not constitute medical, legal, financial, or professional advice.

MaineAI provides its services "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of our service, including but not limited to: missed or delayed messages, inaccurate AI responses, scheduling errors, or service interruptions. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid to us by the business on whose behalf the messages were sent.
You agree not to use our SMS service for any unlawful purpose, to send threatening or harassing messages, or to attempt to disrupt or abuse the service in any way.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
